What Is PAME
WHY WE EXIST, AND WHERE WE'RE GOING

Production runs on people, but the technology behind hiring those people hasn't kept up. Production assistants and crew find work through scattered Discord servers that move too fast to be fair, Facebook groups that are rarely active, and union availability lists that shut out anyone behind on dues — even crew who show up every day and never miss a shift.

PAME is a production crew marketplace built to fix that. One place to post shifts, claim work, trade shifts with your own department, and build a reputation that actually follows you — client by client, shift by shift — instead of starting over every time.

WHY THIS MATTERS NOW

Technology is already reshaping this industry — automation, AI tools, and shrinking crew sizes are changing what work is available and who gets access to it. That shift can go one of two ways: it can push crew further out, or it can be the thing that finally gives crew a fair, transparent system of their own. PAME is built for the second path.

A production assistant's reliability, their rating, their history — that should be worth something real, portable, and visible, not locked inside a union roster or lost in a Discord scroll. A supervisor should be able to hire with confidence without needing a personal connection first. That's the connection PAME is building: not replacing the relationships this industry runs on, but giving them a real record and a fair structure.

WHAT WE'RE BUILDING TOWARD

PAME today is shifts, trades, ratings, and a growing crew directory. What it becomes is bigger: a real career infrastructure for below-the-line production workers — new pathways into the industry, new ways for reliable crew to get noticed and hired faster, and a system that grows with the people who use it, not around them.

This platform was built by someone who lived the problem it solves. That's not a marketing line — it's the reason every feature exists.

The Founder
WHY I BUILT THIS

I grew up in Asbury Park, New Jersey, came up through middle and high school in Atlanta, and I'm based in Los Angeles now. I came from the streets — not the version of that story that ends in prison, and not the version that ends in getting rich off it either. I was always the one looking for the way out, and in 2019 I found it: I left that life behind for good and moved to LA to build something real.

LA didn't hand me anything. I built from the ground up — no family out here, no safety net, no shortcuts. I worked hard, showed up every single day, and never stopped moving toward something bigger, even when the odds weren't in my favor.

In April 2023, a program called ManifestWorks placed me at Smuggler Production Company in Hollywood — my entry point into the film industry. ManifestWorks exists to help people coming out of the prison system, foster care, homelessness, and addiction find real footing in entertainment. That opportunity changed the trajectory of my life. For the first time, I could see a legitimate, steady path forward — and I took it.

But once I was inside the industry, I saw the same pattern I'd spent my whole life fighting against: a system built to keep the people doing the work from ever getting ahead. Fires, strikes, COVID's aftershocks, and the rise of automation all hit the production workforce at once — and on top of it, the union structure meant to protect crew became its own trap. A hard cap on how many union jobs you can work a year. Dues and initiation fees you can't afford unless you're already making money. A system that punishes the people who need the work most, right when they need it most.

I didn't wait for someone else to fix it. I taught myself to build — cloud infrastructure, backend systems, AI, all of it — and I built PAME myself, from nothing, because I refused to let this industry keep doing to the next person what it tried to do to me.

I'm a father first, building this for my daughter and for every production assistant standing where I once stood. PAME is live today. It's not a concept — it's a real platform, built by someone who lived the problem and decided to become the solution. This is just the beginning.
